I finally got your message. My cell phone (which is the number you have, by the way, so feel free to leave any message you so desire in the future) didn't feel the need to tell me I had a voicemail, so I missed it until your email. But it was well worth it. aurora_84! sgastoryfinders! Commenters who are horrified! Commenters who think it's "sweet" and "awesome"! Commenters who find alternate uses for the exosekeleton! Oh, fandom. My love and horror, they live in equal parts in my secret heart of hearts.
The tricky thing is that it's actually a good story. I really like the way the author writes John's though processes as primal without being violent, like the way he simplifies Rodney to "help" and feeling good to "yum." It's great until the exoskeleton attacks you out of nowhere and than you can never go back.
Also, I know I'm going to regret this, but Mascara Balls?
EXOSKELETONS!
