I haven't had a chance to get much beyond the first paragraph, but I'll definitely read it tonight. Even paradise_city admitted it was good (even if the exoskeleton part scared her :P), so I guess it just goes to show that when trying to describe memorable bits of fics, even the best fics sound absolutely ridiculous. :D
