So, I've had a stressful week this week. I really wish the stock market would take a fucking chill pill.

Now it's the weekend, thank *god*, and I want to do something, something fun to forget about this past week, I just don't know what. There's a haunted farm just down the street from me, so I thought about going over there, but it's raining right now. I've been wanting to go to the War Museum for quite some time now, but I some how doubt that will cheer me up. :(

Anyone have any suggestions?

It looks like a nice computer, smaller memory than the ones we had taken a look at, but it seems to have a dedicated graphics card so it might not be a big deal. The hard drive is a bit smaller too, but the rest seems pretty similar. Personally, I still think the one on sale was a better deal over all. Did you go back to see if the price had changed?

Hee, it's not actually haunted, it's just a family that decided to make some money on the side. That was over a decade ago though and now it's a full out business, they have haunted barns and hayrides, lots of mazes and a stage with regular shows.

And damn, you make an excellent point about the memory, I hadn't noticed that. It is supposed to be lighter... I dunno. How the fuck do I choose? (I did check about the one I liked in the store, it's 599.99 online.)

Well, I'm up for just about anything that'll get me out of the house, I had wanted to go for a hike or something, but it just won't stop raining. :(

As for computers... unless there's a specific brand you really want, personally I'd go for the best computer at the best price. It's interesting that the computer we liked at the store is even cheaper online though, I wonder why?

I know it's something that's alarmed my dad. He basically said, "Why is it so cheap?"

Ha, there is that, but you know, computers are just getting so cheap these days, I mean you can get a laptop for under $300. I don't think it'll be a bad laptop, but I think pretty much any laptop bought at BestBuy isn't going to be one that'll last you years. two, maybe three if you treat it right, and perhaps get the extended service plan that'll take care of it for 3 years, but otherwise it won't be a computer that'll last. On the other hand though, with the speet at which computers are changing, I don't think you'd really want one that'll last for too long otherwise you'll fall behind and it's not like you can upgrade laptops easily without buying a whole new one.
I just did a quick google of "Acer complaints" and pleanty of hits came up, it looks like they might not have the best customer service, but again, if you get the service plan through Best Buy, it shouldn't really be a problem for you, since you won't ever be dealing with them directly. Also, searching "Acer Reviews" brings back some positive experiences too.

How old is your current computer btw?

And the Nature Museum sounds good, is that the one in the castle near the Metcalf exit on the 417? When do you want to meet?

Awww *is slightly disappointed* that sounded too awesome to be true =) The way you wrote it sounded great, like almost every horror movie plot - oh there's this old farmhouse down the road that's supposed to be haunted so I'll just go take a look - cue screaming and all that malarkey!
