Vid Beta?

Hey, does anyone here have time tonight for a quick vid beta on a non-fannish vid? I know this is a bit of a weird request, but I just want someone to check technical stuff and flow for me. TIA!

For anyone who's interested the vid is here.

PS. Whoa, I'm on DW for the first time using IE and man is the formatting screwed up, has anyone else noticed this? Or is it just the specific layout I'm using?

Just had a look at the vid and it's lovely! I can't see anything wrong with the timing at all. There are a few audio hiccups, where a scene begins with the end of a word on the audio, which is a bit clunky... if that is the right word. The vid breaks are perfect, just that the audio lead in's aren't quite as crisp.

There's one at 1.03, where the end of the clip has a shuffle sound which I suspect was the beginning of dialogue which was cut.

Another very minor one at 1.28 leading into the scene. That one can probably be ignored.

Another at 1.45 where the ladies talking cuts in awkwardly.

1.03 and 1.45 are probably the only ones that are obvious to me, and only because I was looking for them as a beta. *g*

I know what you mean about your layout! I use IE7 and your tags are intruding into your posts! As is the line of buttons for posting etc, under your website link etc.

It might just be that layout, as mine is okay in IE, but my modules are on the right of the screen, not the left. Which might make a difference. *shrugs*

Holy heck, I have dark writing on a dark green background on my comment, which is almost impossible to read!

You're welcome. Glad I could help. *g*

On your layout, I've seen someone else use it also, with the tags etc on the right side, and they have the same problem as yours. So i'd say it's definitely the layout. It was the same in Opera and Firefox too.
