I think it's a matter of sometimes, people aren't sure about just HOW BIG they're allowed to dream. It seems to be related to the idea that Coding Is Kinda Intimidating, so people step back sometimes.

I think it helped a lot that kronos999 was the one to come up with the basis of many of the advanced features (that we as a group expanded on) and she was the planned coder at the time so we weren't afraid to dream big.

I definitely get the Coding Is Kinda Intimidating mind set. I'm especially wary of the suggestion in my list of scalable sorts because that seems like a huge headache to code and how would it even work? But diurnal_lee wanted it and kronos999 could think of ways to make it work so it was added to the list.
