I definitely think that TWoof is bigger at the moment; now that it's been a year since the movie. But I also think a big different between Avengers and TWoof is that Avengers is more sprawling (so many characters! So many ships!) where as TWoof is super focused (if it's not sterek it doesn't count - seriously, I had 2 other TWoof podfics, but even though they both were about Derek and Stiles, because they were marked as gen and didn't have Sterek as a pairing those podfics are way down on numbers.)

And it seems kinda weird to me to notice how I'm doing things for attention because I spent a long time thinking I didn't? Like I thought I was just doing my own thing and yay! if people liked it? Especially since podfic doesn't get a lot of feedback. But I guess more than actual comments, I do get validation from my stats. Like looking at download numbers and hit counts. Also my reputations in fandom.

American Idol totally spoiled me as a fandom. There weren't many podficcers so I was appreciated and rec'ed a lot when people were rec'ing podfic. Also I had crazy download stats. Even TWoof, with such high hit counts on AO3, still gets fewer downloads.

It probably wouldn't affect me as much, except in 2012 I really slowed down on podficcing and pulled back from fandom a bit as school took all my free time. /o\ So I was feeling insecure? Also, for the past year I've been in bandom, and there's so many awesome bandom podficcers, that I felt like I'd get lost in there? And the download/hits stats kinda confirmed that? But TWoof podfic got a lot of appreciation, so... *shrugs* (also a factor, a lot of the bandom fics I wanted to record were *long* and I just didn't have time to finish them).
