Ok, I'm really kind of curious, who rec'ed me to [livejournal.com profile] metafandom? No one who's in the SGA fandom even responded to my original post, and now, a week later it's on [livejournal.com profile] metafandom? Weird.

It's kind of flattering, but on the other hand, I wrote it thinking no one would end up reading it, so it's not actually one of the brighter things I've said. I also kind of made up my own side to the argument. :P

Seriously though, if it was someone on my flist, I'd really like to know. Otherwise I'm going to assume it's someone from [livejournal.com profile] geeklite's flist who checked out my journal after I left a comment on her post.

Anyways, good night all, here's to long weekends!

Haven't a clue what you're writing about. Just wanted to stop in and say hello. I've MIA pretty much all week and I owe you like a zillion comments back. Hopefully find some time to do that.

My boyfriend's mother from Ireland has been here and that really cut into my free time.

You enjoy the week end. Hope to connect with you.

;-)

Hi. You don't know me, but I read your essay which was linked on Metafandom and then glanced at your journal main page, and this question caught my eye. I had a similar experience last fall; I made a throwaway post on MiSTings when the sga_mst group was started and people were talking about that. (I'm not into SGA, which makes it rather ironic that I'm talking to you about another SGA-related post! But I used to be a big fan of MST3K and MiSTings, back when they were more organized.) Anyway, I was rather astonished when my post turned up on Metafandom, because I'm pretty sure none of my flist would have recommended it. I suspect that the Metafandom staff just does a periodic journal search for anyone who's mentioned the community in an entry recently.
