All your wants sound really good. As for good computers, I'd recommend an Asus if you can afford it.

I know the unfocused productive feeling. Post your SGA vid! I'm in the mood for SGA vids right now (you've seen Another Sunday, right? *love*) What's your favorite color besides black? I'd recommend picking things that have emotional significance to who you are as a person.
