It's just... come on. I know that there are some things that really bother people, most people can recognise that it's stupid. Me for example. I get irrationally pissed off when people talk about "Canadian accents" because you know what? Most of the time, when listening to characters on TV, I can't tell the difference between Canadians and Americans unless they're doing a regional accent. And I see Americans go on and on about the Canadian accent and I just. don't. get it. But I don't go around making public posts about it, inviting wank about it, because I know it's dumb. And just because *I* don't hear it doesn't mean others don't/.
