This icon... has a story, I just don't actually remember it. Back in first year of university, when I was living in residence trieth would come over and visit raxhel and I, and we'd get into the silliest conversations. One of them was about garden gnomes. This picture was the result. In the full sized pic there's also the text "Gardens will never be the same again". This was the first photo manip I ever made, and I'm pretty proud of it, so what if the hands look really fake :P
As for what I mean when I'm using it... well, I don't actually get to use it all that much. But generally when I do, I'm either being ridiculous, am expressing an irrational fear, or just want to show it off. :P


This icon was made by thegreyladies and is probably one of my most used Numb3rs icons. I took it because I adore Don, but I love it for it's cuteness. I've named it Boyish Don, and generally use it to express amusement, or cheekiness or just plain happiness.


One of my Megan/Larry icons, made my hyacinthgirl_36. I love this icon because, who can't love Larry/Megan? I've had het ships that I like, but Megan/Larry is the only one that I've loved as much as some of my slash pairings. I love this icon specifically because I think it really highlights the differences between the two of them; Megan is smartly dressed and looking totally hot, while Larry is dressed more casually and looks a little lost. I mostly use it if I'm posting about Numb3rs and don't talk about a specific character, or if I want to express the cuteness that is Larry/Megan


Icon by obaona. Elizabeth/Ronon is another het pairing that I like, but I'm not as in love with. I have it as an icon mostly because it was one of the first E/R icons I could find (I've seen more since). I don't use it that often though, mostly because I love my Rodney icons too much.


I absolutely adore this icon by le_mot_mo. It can be used pretty much anywhere. I use it a *lot* mostly because I often try and convey facial expressions when writing online. Some of you have probably been driven crazy by my excessive use of :P (and :S and :D and :-/ and :).


Icon by berlinghoff79. I actually have a secret love of mpreg and parenting fics (in certain fandoms, it drove me crazy in QaF when they'd just *become* pregnant, at least in SGA you can (try) justify it). I took this one because I also love Carson. I've only used it once so far (it's hard to work in), and in that case we were discussing Bad!Fic, so I felt it was appropriate.


Icon by Me! I love this icon. And I love that someone on my flist also uses it. I actually made it earlier this year when I made up my hockey icons, I decided that I needed more Canadian icons, and a Timmies one was the perfect choice. I don't even drink coffee, and I can't imagine a world without Timmies. I mostly use it when I'm talking about Canada.

What kind of account to you have?

I have over 100 uploaded, and the only reason I don't have my quota completely full is because I like having a spot or two open in case I want to upload an icon right away and don't want to have to delete on to do it.

I have the one where you don't have to pay, but you have to put up with some google ads at the side and in return you get to have 15 pics. I barely even notice the ads. In fact, I rather like google ads. It's always fun to see what they come up with in my Gmail account, based on whatever random things my friends have emailed me about.

Yeah, I don't mind the gmail adds either, and will follow them sometimes. I had someone once tell me that they had changed their e-mail because they couldn't stand gmails invasion of their privacy by basing the adds off the content of their e-mails. I was kind of o_O over it, because if you think you have privacy over any of your e-mails you're sadly mistaken. At least this way you're getting ads that might actually appeal to you.

I have a paid account over here, but over on Insane Journal I have an account that isn't paid, and it amuses me to no end that 50% of the time the adds I get are for Queer as Folk jewelry, even though the account has nothing to do with QaF (I use it for Numb3rs and SGA stuff). :P
