Baby Update

Jenn, has been hurting for almost a whole day now, with back aches and a lot of pressure, but her water hasn't broken yet. She had a temperature, so went to the hospital and they say she's begun dilating, but she's still not in labour, so we're still waiting by the phone. I've packed a suitcase already. :)

Random canon question, but in the Narnia series, is it ever mentioned if Caspian gets married? I don't remember them saying, but I can't even tell you how many years it's been since I read Voyage of the Dawn Treader....

yeah, Caspian gets married. The Silver Chair is centered around finding his son.

Oh. God, it's been so long since I've read these. All I could remember about the silver chair was the giants, and that someone was sitting in a silver chair and acting all weird. I didn't even remember Caspian was in it :S In my defense, I was like, 10 when I last read those books :S

If you've read them more recently, can I pick your brain a bit?
Is the wife ever actually mentioned? Or is it implied by the fact that they have a son? Do you remember what general section of the book (beginning? middle? end?) she was mentioned? I have the book, but I don't really have time right now to go read it, and I signed up to write a Narnia drabble about Caspian and/or Peter being forced to marry.

I haven't read them recently, but I did see the BBC versions recently. Caspian marries a girl they meet on the last island before Aslan's country in Voyage of the Dawn Treader. She's the daughter of a star. Caspian is a background character in Silver Chair. He's going to journey to all the islands again at the beginning and conveniently is back in his castle in Narnia when Eustace and Jill bring his son with them.

It really kinda depends when you're setting this drabble: circa Caspian book, or Voyage or SIlver Chair.

OH! I can't remember if this happened in the books, but in the BBC film versions (which are pretty book acurate), when Caspian dies, Alsan returns him to the age he was in Prince Caspian (very much younger than in the movie that just came out) and allows him to visit the Summer Country aka our world. It's not for very long and Caspian helps Eustace and Jill fight off some bullies...

probably. Sorry it's not much help. my friend took my giant Narnia book home with her so she could read them, so I have no other point of reference other than 80's BBC film versions.

Heh, well, I'm glad I asked and you knew, I was going in thinking that his marital status was just never mentioned.

I loved the books as a kid, but had borrowed them from the library when I read them. I did ask for the series one year for a birthday or christmas present or something, but I only got the first three (MN, TLTWATW, and AHAHB).

Shortly after seeing the movie, I happened to be in a book store, and saw an all in one book for $25 and bought that (To get the box sets it was like $70!) and have been rereading Prince Caspian. I'll just have to step up my rereading (Maybe on my 4 hour trip to the hospital! :).

BABIES! ♥ Awwwwww! My sister just had a baby boy recently, and he is just the most adorable thing ever. Be prepared to fall in love as soon as you see the little one.

I seriously can't wait. Every time the phone rings, we all jump. We had an aunt call earlier this morning just to freak us out. My sister is on the phone right now, complaining about how sore she is (I'm assuming, I can only hear my mom's side of the conversation).

Be prepared to fall in love as soon as you see the little one.
Oh, I'm already totally in love with the little guy :D

I don't know if it's universal, but in out house, the phone makes a different sound if the call is local or if it's long distance. So every time we hear the long distance ring, we all jump at the phone. I totally was psyched out an hour ago when a telemarketer called.
