A *real* update...

So, it's been forever since I've done a real update. There have been so many things I've wanted to post about, but honestly? June has been so hectic busy.

First there was all the stress about applying for my new job. Then I was getting ready for my birthday (thank you *so* much to those who wished me happy birthday!). Then I was getting ready for Dallas and NonFedCon USA. I have a lot to say about that, but, well mostly the time has past. (Although I will say, I met some truly awesome people there! *waves at lemonpiefirefly*

Mostly I've been sleeping since I got back from Dallas. First to get caught up on the sleep I was missing, Then there was a crazy weekend, where I got a ton of bites, that I'm guessing are from a spider, but they happened when I was sleeping so I can't tell for sure. They're all kind of large, I seem to be allergic to them, and there's one on my leg that is kind of purple :-/ I've been taking Benadryl when I get home which had me totally asleep by 7:30 Monday night, and in bed by 8:30 Tuesday. I held off taking it today, so hopefully I'll go to be at a slightly more normal time, like 10. :P

I have a ton of fannish things that I've been thinking of doing. I don't know when I'll have time, but I so want to try. One of the big things, that I kept mentioning to paradise_city when I was in Dallas was that I think this fandom needs a masterlist of all the crack fic there is out there. Because, come on, we all know there's a lot, and sometimes you just want to read a crack fic. Hell, it's 98% of what I read in this fandom.

So, I'd like to ask my flist to rec me their favourite SGA crack fics. :)

Oh, and lastly. maekala, equusentric and I are planning on getting together weekly to rewatch SG-1 from the beginning. We're meeting up tomorrow at 9 EST on yahoo to talk about ep 1X03, if anyone is interested they are welcome to join us.

I hear ya on the busy note! I've been so slack lately with online life whilst trying to deal with real life crap so I must apologise.

However, happy happy happy (belated!) birthday to you! I really hope it was a good one! And also, much congratulations on your new job!

That spider bite sounds scary :| you gotta be really careful with spider bites because while one treatment (ie antiseptic cream) can help one type, but it can make another worse. My best advice would be to get straight to a doctor if they get any worse... hopefully they'll heal soon though! Meep. I'm so not a big fan of spiders at all.

As for my crack list - I'll have to compile a list and get back to you :P

REWATCHING SG1! Oh man, I'd sooo love to do that, however my DVD player is being such a pain lately. Its stuck on the bloody wrong region :( goddamnit.

The bites are getting better, at least they've stopped itching. The one on the back of my leg is still gross, but the rest are going away.

Cool. I think I'm going to do a general call for help from my flist, and then make more specific requests like "Transformation: Animal" fics, or "Transformation: Food" fics, "Harlequin AU" fics etc. I just want some general ideas so I can come up with those types of fics :P

It's a good thing you reminded me cause I totally would've forgotten that today is Thursday. But that's what happens when I go between College Station, Huntsville and Conroe. I work Audit tonight, so I may disappear for a bit depending on how long we last. Although...since it'll be 8 my time and I don't have to be at work till 11...it shouldn't be a problem.

:) That's ok, my birthday was pretty much blown over this year, I kept forgetting it was my birthday, so I didn't really notice much that day anyways.

Also, I totally hadn't seen the socks or shrimp fics. Is the gingerbread one the one where Rodney has his nipples licked off? God I love this fandom. <3

You should totally do a crack masterlist for SGA. I admit that I'm not really in that fandom beyond reading occational fic people rec me, but I would agree with your statement about it being the most cracktastic fandom out there (at least at the moment). I'm surprised someone hasn't gotten there first. I wish I could help.

Rewatching ALL of SG1 from the beginning. Oh my. That's going to take a while, isn't it? I tried that once and didn't make it past season 2.
