Ha, I could totally see myself moving to a fandom commune somewhere in the remote mountains with really good internet access. People keep bitching and moaning about making one. I'd totally be there if someone did :P

I'll keep my eyes out for the cons but you might hear about them first since you're closer. It's weird but people don't really talk about cons as much on LJ, or at least not on my flist but there's a lot of talk on mailing lists about them. That's how I always find out about them.
