1. How has LJ changed your life?
Um, other than the huge amount of time I spend on it? In a lot of ways actually. LJ really allowed me to become part of fandom. Before I was just a nameless lurker and now, even though I don't produce much, I can still meet and talk to people. I've also met some awesome people in RL after meeting them online. And for a while there in 2005/2006 I really think LJ helped keep me alive when all I wanted to do was kill myself. That's sounds really pathetic, but there you go.
2. What do you do before bedtime?
Check my email about a zillion times and read some fic in between :P Possibly snuggle with my cat.
3. What did you do this weekend?
My sister came down with her family and some friends. We all went to the Maxville Highland Games and played games. There was also much playing with my nephew.
4. What is the city of your dreams and why?
Hmmm, I don't think I have one. I really like Ottawa as a city, but my friends don't live here, which makes me sad. I also waver between living in a big city with things always going on, and living in a quaint little town in one of the Atlantic provinces.
5. Are you an introvert or extrovert?
Definitely introverted. I can act extroverted in the right situations but overall I'm introverted.
6. What is your favorite color?
Purple
7. Do you trust easily?
Yes, too easily. I also care too much.
8. If the person you secretly like is already attached, what would you do?
Pine? I'm not about to try and steal them. Hell, I don't have the confidence to try and attract someone who's single.
9. Is there anything that has made you unhappy these days?
Living with my parents. My fight with depression.
10. What is your best quality?
Hmm, I'd say probably that I care too much. It can mean I get hurt but it also means that I'll genuinely care if you tell me something even if most find it boring or whatever.
11. Is being tagged fun?
I love being tagged. Sometimes I feel like too much of a lurker on my flist so it's a nice reminder that people know who I am. :)
12. How do you see yourself in fandom?
Hmmm, I change from fandom to fandom and depending on what's going on in my RL. I think mostly I straddle the line of being a lurker and being someone who is recognized but not really known.
13. Who are currently the most important people to you?
Does my cat count? :P
I'm pretty in love with my nephew, and my friends are pretty important to me.
14. What kind of person do you think the person who tagged you is?
mercury973 is a really fun flister who's super nice. I think on the first day I was on her flist (certainly my first comment to her) was on a meme asking for presents, and she sent me an awesome DVD of her set tour of Bridge Studios.
15. What would you do if you won the lottery?
Oh god, so much. I'd buy a new computer. Buy my house. I'd probably still work (I'm only 23!) but I don't think I'd worry about school as much and would make an effort to travel to the places I want to go.
16. How many children do you want to have, if any?
Heh, when I was in school my friends joked that I'd have 20 kids. While I don't want quite that many I definitely want some. At least 2 but probably no more than 5. 3 sounds like a nice number.
17. What is an embarrassing childhood memory that haunts you the most?
I can't think of a specific instance that bothers me, but I had this habit as a child of crying if people laughed at me and I didn't know why. I was pretty funny on purpose a lot of the time so was used to people laughing, but if I didn't know what it was I said to make them laugh I'd assume they were laughing *at* me and would run from the room crying. :P
18. What is one of your favourite indulgences?
Travelling. In general I'm pretty cheap so stay at home but when I can go out and actually go places I have so much fun and try my best not to be cheap.
19. Would you have 100% safe sex with a stranger for $10,000,000?
Yes.
Is it bad that I didn't even have to think about that? I'm single and while I'm not poor, I'm not independently wealthy either but would like to be.
20. What is one of your happiest memories from the past week?
Playing with Ethan. I got him all to myself a couple times this past weekend and he'd just giggle and smile and let me give him a lot of kisses (god I want a baby!).

No, I've only gone to the Toronto con, and one failed Dallas con. I've been thinking about trying to go to VanCon, but it's been at a really inconvenient time for me. I might be able to swing it now that I have vacation at work though. Of course, I'm supposed to be saving up for that house...
