*happy sigh*

So, I just finished reading High School Confidential by [livejournal.com profile] elayna88. It's an AU of [livejournal.com profile] xanthelj's Coming Home and General & Dr. Sheppard fics, where John and Rodney met in high school instead of on Atlantis.
I seriously love this universe to pieces and this addition is wonderful. Go read this fic if you like that universe, you won't regret it.

I'm glad you liked it. I'm still not sure what I think about it (I can never tell if the pacing issues are on the authors' side or mine), but it was nice to see something else in that universe.

I would have liked for it to be longer, things did seem kind of rushed in it. I mean they went from rape to twu wuv 4 eva in no time flat but I often feel these things should be longer :P

Mostly I was happy to see more in this universe and to have some of my kinks hit.

I have no idea how they went from rape to twu wuv (seriously, it started so weirdly), but it really was nice to read more from that universe. I wish Xanthe would write more.

Heh, we just want more from that universe! There are two other fics in that universe, a well known one by helen and a really great one by lavvyan have you read those?

I don't think I've read those. Helen tends to creep me out a little -- a holdover from her popslash fic way back in the way back, and I always forget that I like lavvyan's work. ¿Tienes links?

Take Clothes Off as Directed is the one by [livejournal.com profile] helenish, and you might find it creepy. It's an AU where John is the sub and it's used as a parallel to gender stereotypes. Also there's lots of bad awkward sex.

I totally love The Spaces Inside by [livejournal.com profile] lavvyan it's an earthside AU where Rodney is a prostitute and John is a... John who has commitment issues. For all that there's hardly and graphic sex in it, I find it super hot.

Randomly, I'm really in the mood to make a Weir vid. I find this odd since I don't have much love for her character but I currently have two vid bunnies for her in my head. Also a McShep one, but the song is called "Army of Love" and the verses could be cool and dark and full of fight scenes but the whole "Army of Love bit is holding me back. It seems a bit cheesy.
