HELP!!!

Ok guys, I really need some help, are there any computer genius's on my flist?

I just bought a new external hard drive for my computer, except it doesn't seem to work.

In Device manager it says: This device cannot start. (Code 10)

When I google that it seems that there's either something wrong with the registry or something

Or there's a BIOS error, and I need to instal updates or something.... (can you tell I know what I'm talking about?).

I found this one webpage that tells you how to "flash" your BIOS, but doesn't really tell you where to get anything other then it's somewhere on the inside of my computer....

I really don't want to fuck my computer up, so if there is *anyone* who can at least give me some pointers, well, I'd do just about anything for you.

Please?

As for vidding_archive, I'm sorry, I kind of abandon my computer in the summer and only do one or two things. I saw that you guys were doing a great job of it, and so have sort of left it to you. If you I was wrong and you *do* need help just let me know and I'll join right back in.....

As for the layout, I say your sample on your lj, and it really looks great. I had started to dispare that I the idea had faded I'm glad you're making it work (also since I'm *really* bad about commenting on LJs lately, I'm soo totally with you on the vidders who use YSI to host thing! It's so annoying :()

Right now the community is pretty slow so I just check in every few days to see if there were any posts that I missed for the archiving. If (when) it picks up I'll let you know if I need help. Glad you liked the layout. morgandawn had a few suggestions from the origional style so I've done some tweeking and I'm pretty happy with it.

As you know I wasn't much help ont his front..... sorry :(
However have very good news..... I got the rental car sorted out, don't ask me why but for some reason if you book it closer to the time you need the car the more reasonal it is. ANyway I doubt it'll be anything grand but it'll be a hell of allot cheaper than a taxi and will allow us allot more freedom (like we were able to get a cheaper hotel because we weren't staying in the take village as the festival) anyway I'm happy hope you are too only 3/4 more days till we meet :D

That's sooo great about the rental car. Also I just can't wait until this weekend!!

Although, I have some interesting news......

It appears I won't have to pretend to be sick to get out of work on Friday.

This is wonderful news,well.... not about your voice, btu I hadn't seen you onlike and I was starting tot hink you weren't comming. I decided to give my computer back and get a custom made laptop, unfortunetly I have to wait like 3 weeks to get it made :( so that's why I'm not online at night because I'm using my mothers computer at work and don't have a comp at home :( so please do not think I'm ignoring you. I'm really looking forward tot his weekend only 2 days away now, I just know we're going to have a fun time :D
