So, a few months ago I went on a Supernatural binge and finally watched the show. I like the show, but was too obsessed with SGA and Numb3rs to let myself be pulled into another fanodm.

Except now I have to make an SPN vid, and well, I just read Journey's End by laniew1 and really want to read some Supernatural fic (never mind that I have a to read list more than half way into the triple digits).

I *know* there are SPN fans on my flist, anyone want to rec something for me to read? Dean's my favourite character, I'm a slasher (If you couldn't tell from my LJ :P but actually I wouldn't say no to some gen) and have nothing against incest fic (see Numb3rs ;)

Also, on a completely unrelated note:

Thanks! I'm reading it right now. It's exactly the type of fic I was looking for.

I tried reading a different Wincest, and it was good; short and funny, but really when you're new to a pairing, you kind of need to read the slow build ups, and the emotions before you can really get behind the pairing and move onto the short and funny ones.

Yay! It's always so much better starting off in a fandom reading fics people have rec'ed to you rather than reading whatever you happen to stumble across. Gives you a much nicer entrance to the fandom.

You've been in the SPN fandom (almost?) from the beginning haven't you? I remember reading SPN entries from you while I was in China....

I love to read recs. They're always a good starting point. Even now I still try to read recs when I'm at a loss at what to read (usually I'll have at least three tabs with fics to read open). Although in the beginning of this fandom you could read pretty much anything. The standard was AMAZING. Sadly, now it's gone done a little.

I think I caught up with the show around Asylum, which would be ep 110. So yeah, pretty much from the beginning. Let's hope this fandom gets to live a lot longer! *ansgst over third season* It's hard to believe it's been over a year now. O.o
