So, this is my 100th work posted to AO3 and I wanted it to be something special. I had recorded this podfic back in February of 2012 after the excitement of hearing the new music Kris performed during his show at the Mint. And, in fact, the opening music is from that performance.
It seemed appropriate that this podfic be my 100th here.

It was kind of trippy working on it, I've made a lot of changes to my recording set up, so there were background noises I'm not used to working with anymore. I've also changed the style in which I read, I catch more of my mistakes and leave pauses before breathing so it's easier to cut them out.

It's taken a lot of work to get this out for my 100th, I hope people enjoy it. :)

These a just demos, so the vocals are a little rough, especially for Parachute, but the songs are seriously amazing. I really, really hope they make the album, I can so imagine them doing well on the radio.

Note: There's some talking over the start of both songs about "this is number 1" which I'm assuming isn't actually part of the song, and there's some weird laughing in Parachute that was added in later too.

ETA: Adam just tweeted "Violence is not to be taken lightly. Embarrassed by drunkenness. No punches thrown, no injuries and no charges. Media always exaggerates." So I'll take him at his word and assume the media did exaggerate what happened greatly. But I still stand by my comments and that I dislike the silencing/shaming of voices I saw occurring when the information we had said otherwise.

Repodding is when a podfic is made of a fic that has already been podficced. Podfic is awesome, therefore two podfics is even more awesome, right? This was also made (mostly) in a single weekend in September, which I dubbed 3 Day Novel Podfic (based on the 3 Day Novel Contest where people are challenged to write a novel in 3 day, kinda like NaNo but on speed!)

OMG guys, new music from Kris leaked! It was a beautiful thing to wake up to this morning :D I've been listening to it on repeat whenever I have a chance. If you want to listen it's here (download in the comments). SO GOOD!

True story, I was in the public computer/study area between classes today writing an email to about a job (!! OMG good new there too!) when someone's computer started playing really loud music. I sat there glaring at the guy across from me because he wasn't doing anything to turn in off or turn it down when suddenly Kris' voice came on and I realized it was me. OMG, so embarrassing (stupid Windows had restarted and when I opened my browser all my tabs reloaded and the new song was up).

On the good job news front, I got the job offer today where they didn't say my hours, but they did say how much I'd get paid an hour, which I was shocked to find out would be the same hourly rate as when I was working full time! A good $8/hr more than I was expecting! :O I had been kind of worried that I wouldn't get enough hours going back to my old job part-time but at more than double what I'd get working elsewhere I really can't say no. I'm going in tomorrow to sign the paperwork.

Notes: This was recorded for kradambigbang. I knew when I signed up to be an artist for kradambigbang that I likely wouldn't be able to podfic for it and then it turned out that the fic I got was almost 75K! o_O But lc2l was totally awesome when we talked about it and we decided to just record parts of the story. Because I've been crazy busy with pod_together, multipodicity and leaving my job, "parts" turned out to be the the first few opening scenes. However I do plan to record more of this in the future and post it as an abridged story (for podfic_bingo).
