So, I just discovered tonight that The Pirate Party of Canada has started hosting a torrent tracker called CaPTain. I downloaded 3 albums so far: Neil Leyton, Thorny Bleeder Records and Exx-Traddition. Exx-Traddiition isn't doing much for me, but the other two have been kind of awesome so far.

I also ended up jumping onto their IRC chat. I had checked out the Pirate Party a while ago when I heard that they were coming to Canada but it looks like they've gotten a lot more info up now. I'll definitely check them out some more, especially considering the current political landscape in Canada.

I'll also keep trying to convince [profile] kronos999 that she wants to run for them in the next election :P

So, a discussion I was having with someone on my flist earlier got me to thinking about what people get out of fandom. I know that, personally I get a ton of things from fandom from entertainment to friendship. And I was kind of curious as to what other people enjoyed most from fandom.

I found it was far too difficult to put many of the awesome things about fandom into a poll however (feelings of community, friends, challenges, etc.) so decided to narrow it down to basic products that fandom produces. Communities, archives, websites, etc. started making the list too long too, so I have the basic products that we produce and consume. I'm sure I'm missing a bunch, these are mostly the ones I consume but I'm curious as to what other people consume.
