So, one of the things I like about RPF is that I don't have to keep up with canon. I don't actually enjoy watching TV most of the time so not having a show to keep up with is nice. If you really want to keep up with "canon" in RPF it's sooooo much work that mostly I just ignore it completely. I'm happy to pick up little pieces of canon from fic.

Except, I got the crazy idea to write an AI fic for NaNo :S Now the scattered canon is going to be the death of me. God. And like, while I'm sort of doing an AU, it`s still following the Idol timeline.

God I regret not watching the show live, I have such a crappy concept of the timeline.

Like, when did Adam start dating Drake?

Or, like, I just rewatched the episode where Adam, Kris and Allison got into the top 13 and Ryan asked Kris if he had watched his performance and when he said no, Ryan remarked that Kris had been working. I vaguely recall an interview (maybe?) where Kris said he had a job socking shelves?? But damned if I can find it again.

So, anyone on my flist willing to act like as a canon reference for me?

In other fandonly news, I was cheating on my podbang this weekend. I wanted to get some inspiration for my Nano, so decided to read orbedrowned (which I love so much!). It's on my list of fics to podfic so decided if I'm going to read it, I might as well read it out loud. So I got a chunk of that recorded and even started the editing.

I've been pretty happy with my reading lately. I don't know if I'm just in a good groove or if I've just been reading fics well suited to me but I've been getting through my reading with very little stumbling. It's awesome :D

I actually recorded this last month that weekend when worked on 6 different podfics but the author wanted to clean up the fic a bit first (it wasn't betaed) and then forgot to get back to me and I got distracted from asking again what with being so busy.

I really do like this story. I've never read the book or watched the movie for the Time Travler's Wife but I'm kind of tempted now. It's just so sweet and heart breaking and porny all in one. And it's not even that long of a fic!

Last week I had an amazingly productive podficing week. I managed to get chapter 3 of (this is) not a statement edited. I recorded and posted Four PM. I also managed to get two other podfics recorded and one partially edited.

That was last week.

I had these grand plans to finish editing at least one of the podfics I recorded last week this weekend but then totally didn't and I haven't done any editing or recording this week at all. :(

Instead I spent last night reading bad fic (OMG, it was *painful*) before finding the completely awesome You've Got Music by buffyx (now I'm totally in the mood for Kradam AUs but instead am listening to J2 AUs because I've listened to all the AI podfic a million times each).

*sigh* It was really fun being all productive last week. I really need to get back to that. AI fandom needs more podfic. Seriously.

So after your advice, I went and emailed that author that never got back to me about letting me record her fic. It turns out that LJ ate the comment email so she hadn't even seen my request. So here's that podfic I mentioned!
